What is Inachis? It`s a great diary on-line. A content of emotions, experiences, feelings, of people who have lived or intend to live the adventure of Volunteering for Nature. The idea to open this space comes from below as an experience of 4 boys and girls in the Italian National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. Inachis will contain in its cocoon feelings about volunteering. Not the abstract but the actual lived by each person who will make a contribution. Inachis does not want to replace the real experience, just try to tell our emotions...hope to be able to share with as many people as possible to live this way! For now a greeting to all, and have a good journey with Inachis.org!

Why Inachis

"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the rest of the world calls butterfly."

This is the first sentence that we have heard in our first experience. It was chosen the butterfly as our symbol because it means life, evolution, freedom to choose where to fly.

“Inachis Io” was one of the many species of butterflies flying on our lawns, it is considered the most beautiful butterfly in Europe and its name has accompanied us during our first experience: it is also one of the names that are given to the volunteer patrols in the Italian National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.
So this is our departure...
But our arrival?
When you begin a path is always good to remember the start...
Our philosophy is the one of the butterfly effect: “One flap of a butterfly-wing here can cause a hurricane at the other side of the world”. The small gesture of each of us can add to the gestures of so many others ... Our steps in that same direction, all together, can trace a trail.

Inachis is born as association

Inachis does not stop.. we were born as a diary on-line, now we are something else. Ont he 4th december 2008, in Villetta Barrea, Inachis is born as association. The Articles of our mission were written during the first meeting, when the first Council was elected. The Council is made of President Luigi La Mura ad Council Members Claudia Alessandrelli and Francesca Giannetti. Everyone can become a supporter of Inachis Association writing to info@inachis.org.
